So you’ve got your skincare routine down to the last detail, splurged on that La Mer moisturizing cream, or A-list serum…but have you ever wondered if you’re really getting the most out of all your products? This year, there’s a new wave of at-home skincare gadgets that can target any concern you have. Whether it’s tightening your pores, combating breakouts, reducing fine lines..there’s a gadget for that and it’ll cost you less than a trip to your dermatologist! Today I’m sharing my favorite go-to skincare gadgets that are worth investing in.
Known as the “5 minute face lift,” the NuFace Facial Toning Device contains micro current technology to tone, contour your face and improve wrinkles. Within just 5 minutes of use, you’ll notice your skin feeling noticeably tighter and more radiant..but you’ll have to commit to doing this routine 5 times per week. Just like exercise, you’ll only see long-lasting results with long-term use. This product is on the pricier side, so if you know you can’t commit to using it at least 5 times per week, I would stick to something a little less time consuming.
FOREO LUNA 2 Mini ($139)
This little circle device has changed the cleansing game! I was on the clarisonic bandwagon for the longest time, but I always thought it was a bit too harsh for my skin even with the sensitive brush heads. Not to mention I spent more time charging my clarisonic and buying replacement brush heads than ever using it! Ever since the Luna came out, it’s become a regular part of my cleansing routine and I can use it daily without any worry. I love that I can create a customized cleansing routine every night with it’s eight different intensity levels, so if I need a deeper clean I can use the higher levels or for everyday use I stick to a lighter level. The bristles are specially designed to resist bacteria build-up since they are silicone so you don’t have to worry about changing brush heads ever again. Just rinse it with some soap and lukewarm water and you’re ready to go! Best part is, just one charge of the Luna can last you up to six months..crazy right?! I’m so bad with charging all my electronic skincare gadgets, so this is a gamechanger for me lol! When I go on back-to-back trips, I always bring my travel size Luna which is good to go for 50 uses! If you guys want to try this device out, I would pick up the travel size first. 50 uses is more than enough to give you a good impression of this product without having to buy the full version immediately.
This facial wand by Vanity Planet has become my little at-home spa secret! Prepare to be amazed by this next gadget. Now let me break it down for you. This wand has three settings: hot, cool, and sonic. The hot setting is meant to be used before you apply your serums and moisturizers to open up your pores. The cool setting is there to shrink your pores, reduce puffiness, and soothe the skin. I especially love using this mode to prep my skin before applying makeup because it soothes any puffiness, dark circles, or redness. Lastly, the sonic setting can be used with both temperature modes and will add a soft vibration to your skin. It works best if you rotate the wand over your problem areas. I recommend combining the cooling mode with a refreshing eye gel like I do with my jade roller! I like to alternate between my jade roller and the facial wand depending on how my skin is feeling.
Some of you may remember I did a mini tutorial on my morning cleansing routine using this Glowspin Facial Brush by Vanity Planet. This facial brush is great for gently exfoliating your skin and clearing it of any impurities. Although I like to use my Foreo on a daily basis, I still incorporate this facial cleansing brush into my cleansing routine about twice per week when I feel like my skin needs more of a deep exfoliation. The brush comes with 3 brush heads: Daily Cleansing Brush, Silicone Brush, and Exfoliating brush so you can customize your cleansing routine. Every time I use this facial brush it gives my skin that fresh-face feeling without ever leaving my skin feeling stripped of it’s natural oils.
