I don’t wear make up
You know what?
I don’t wear make-up and I’m tired of people giving me shit for that.
To clarify, I don’t hate make up. Or hate people who wear it. I just don’t want to wear make up.
I don’t have flawless skin. I have oily/combination skin so that my face is acne prone. But I don’t want to cover myself with make up to hide that fact. I don’t feel the need to.
I’m 18 now. The last time I wore make up was when I was ten. When I was 14 years old, people start talking to me about staying “pretty.” They want me to wear colorful clothes, make up and stuff because, to quote them, “You won’t get a man if you aren’t pretty.”
I was disgusted to hear that because they seemed to think that girls wear make up to get boys’ attention. It’s like girls can’t wear make up for themselves.
Well, I never changed my mind about not wearing make up. Because I feel fine without make up and I don’t think I’ll feel better wearing it.
As long as I am not doing something inappropriate like wearing a pink dress to a funeral, I don’t even try to care about people’s opinions on my appearance.
Only thing is that people keep attacking girls who don’t wear make-up online and irl.
I didn’t become a person so that people will have someone cute to look at.
