It’s paid content but here are two quotes in which she speaks about her and Rupert‘s relationship and projects – and no, we had no idea that apparently family is “on the horizon” but are very excited for them should it be true:

They held the impromptu ceremony in May 2016 (“We sort of eloped as we never knew when there’d be a gap in the schedule.”), Mullins wearing a gown by her friend Olivier Theysksens at the old Rockefeller estate in Sleepy Hollow. “Neither of us bad ever wanted to get married and then, suddenly, we just found ourselves completely in love and wanting to be married to each other.” They alternate projects so they can be together, Mullins recently joining Friend for seven months in South Africa -“lt was a huge deal for me, because this was the first time the ‘us’ had to be prioritized.” – while Friend and their cat Moxie are now keeping Mullins company in Cold Spring while she films What Breaks the Ice. “He’s writing and being my set wife. Right, babe?” she calls into the kitchen.

Between shooting, they cook, watch films, read aloud to one another, “seeing how silly we can be”, and haven’t ruled out a collaboration. “We’re developing a couple of things together at the moment.” 2018 has been a year of saying yes, of living a peripatetic lif e, “with both of us working, family on the horizon”, and it’s not surprising that Mullins finds herself in this state of flux.
