[harajuku station]
the new and improved JR harajuku station. who’s seen it?
the new building finished june 2020, right in the midst of the era of COVID19-staying home. so i’m sure many international fans of japan haven’t been able to see it.

yesterday, i posted about meiji jingu. harajuku station is the most easily accessible and one of the closest stations by meiji jingu.

also, since one of the tokyo 2020 olympic/paralympic arenas are nearby, the station is currently decked out in banners.

i definitely think the station’s re-construction was positive. passengers flow in and out of the station much more efficiently. they also opened the platform adjacent to meiji jingu, right next to the greenery that, if you’re lucky for the train to stop on that side, you can sneak a breath of green air
