It’s so important to get your kids up and moving everyday. If you live in a warmer climate, backyard picnics are also a great way to get some fresh air and Vitamin D during this time. Create a nice little spread by wrapping up some mini sandwiches, fruits, and snacks. Bring out a blanket with some pillows and enjoy some sun! I like to also bring out a portable speaker, some bubbles, board games, and sidewalk chalk to keep her entertained. If the weather isn’t in your favor, switch things up by spreading a blanket on your living room floor and doing a little family picnic, indoor style.
Here are a few kid-friendly picnic food ideas for kids of all ages:
– Mini Quesadillas with your little one’s favorite protein, cheese, and veggies
– Fresh fruits like apples, bananas, watermelon etc.
– Peanut butter banana caterpillars
– Pizza toast
– Lemonade
