Ash (she/they) is a painter and illustrator based in Brighton. They paint vibrant characters with bold colours, and for this piece, Ash put together a love story for the ages. “I'm a lesbian and my art is created through a LGBTQ+ lens so naturally, queer experiences are going filter through to my work! But I'd say that's the same for any artist. Historically (and still now), lots of LGBTQ+ stories weren't given the chance to be shared. So it’s important that going forward, our community is celebrated more in the art world.
