Hi my loves!! Valentine’s Day is just a few days away and for many, celebrating your love at home may just be the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Sometimes after a long work week, scoring an overpriced restaurant reservation and dealing with all the crowds can be exhausting and take all the fun out of the occasion. That’s when planning a romantic and relaxing evening at home can be more memorable than any other night you had planned! Personally, I’m a big fan of at-home date nights as long as they are thoroughly planned and don’t feel like any other regular night at home. Here are a few creative ways you can transform your home into a romantic sanctuary.
If you’re running out of date-night ideas, a little quiet pampering and relaxing never fails. One of my favorite ways to wind-down after a long day is a nice bath! This Valentine’s Day, create a romantic and extravagant bath experience for your partner to indulge in. To set the mood, you’ll need a few essentials like candles, bubble bath product, champagne, and a relaxing playlist. And if you’re looking to make the scene extra special, add some rose petals and flower heads into the mix and serve chocolate-covered strawberries for a sweet treat! Bonus points if you create a pathway of rose petals and candles leading up to the bath ;)
Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to have a nice romantic dinner with your partner. Not to mention, it’s less expensive and it can be a lot more special than eating out. Step one is finding the location. I’d recommend picking a location where you two don’t usually eat, so it makes the evening feel more special. Next, set up a table and cover it with floral arrangements, petals, and candles. Nothing feels more romantic than eating amongst flowers! Enhance the atmosphere by playing soft, romantic tunes and have the candlelight guide your dinner. If you need some recipe inspo, I’ll include a few of my go-to recipes that are a step above our usual weeknight dinner here, here, and here.
Happy almost Valentine’s Day my loves!!
