This is my absolute favorite favorite favorite way to prime the eyelids because not only does the waxy but smooth formula of a lip pencil lock the eye shadow down for the day, the nude shade actually warms up lighter eye shadows, creating a gorgeous glow. It’s pretty awesome. And since I’m guessing most of you already own a nude lip pencil, you don’t even have to buy anything! Here’s all you need to know:

• Your Favorite Nude Lip Pencil — I love this super smooth one ($$$), this waterproof one ($$) and this one ($) that has a little bit of shimmer already in it.
• A Daytime Eye Shadow — this one has been my go-to daily lid shadow since it came out in 1995!
• Your Favorite Mascara — right now I’m so obsessed with this one to really coat each lash.
