In a chat with @ravn-87 I was reminded that I should post more pictures from Japan-because I never do *laughs*! Well! Feeling inspired I snapped a few fun pics while in Harajuku with my daughter. Next to Shin-Okubo (Korea Town) this is one of her favorite places and not even the rain could spoil the fun!

I adore the wild and colorful costumes in one of the the oldest shops on Takeshita Dori. They’re pretty provocative, but Lady G has purchased some of her goodies from them so…it’s a super cool place to visit.

Almost every single store has a metal door that pulls down to protect the facade and each one has been turned into a work of art. I love it!

@angelicdavinci This reminds me of you every time we pass it! This and the Lolita dress shops. Angel Crepes is one of the few creperies not to have been affected by COVID. Harajuku is very niche and depends heavily on tourism. Many shops have closed, but Angel Crepes and Santa Monica Crepes are still doing okay.

Despite this image it was NOT this busy today. Since Harajuku Station is directly across from Takeshita Dori, many people use the actual street simply to pass through. We grabbed coffee and tea at a little café and waited for the people on their way to work and school to pass. It only took about 30 minutes.

Since we’re traveling back home for the first time in two years we decided to do some fun shopping for friends and some family. We got a real giggle over one particular lighter that may have come home with one of us. HINT: It was me.

We popped into a men’s dress shop and found where the turtles keep their satin party pants (some which could rip away thanks to the velcro along the seams and goodness did I start thinking about some “Magic Mike” moments with them…Leo, my love, you have so many that seem extra roomy in the front. Care to share?).

And that was a tiny glimpse into our rainy-and fabulous-Mother-Daughter day!
