Inspired by our writer J.A.V.’s latest trip to Spain, this time around we’re gonna be highlighting the looks and styles of the Spanish woman. In a place so filled with beautiful architeture and aristocracy, it’s no wonder there were more than enough things for us to talk about!

The photos we’ve selected this week are from just a few of the fantastic sights all in the different corners of the country, like Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, Barcelona, Cordoba and Sevilla. Each of these places all had their own fantastic sets of flair and style, also visible through the locals.

In Spain, a more feminine style and overall vibe is given off, something more mature and subdued, while still feeling very fresh and luxurious. Things like a well tailored set of trousers, heirloom quality jewelry pieces, often times actually having been inherited by a grandmother or other respected female relative, and a real eye for the finer details on a simple yet elegant europpean look.

You can see style wherever you’d go, whether it be the supermarket, book stores, bistros, even tourist attracions, it was inspiring to see so many well dressed spanish women. Our fave spot to style scout out was at Plaza de Toros, the bullfighting arena, where the old world tradition still lives on and well, and the whole of society still goes out to see the show.

What we could learn about fashion and beauty from the spanish are, to always keep yourself somewhat soft, a thing hard to do these days sometimes with the trends always changing into all sorts of strong and structured concepts. They walked with their heads held so high, proud of the beautiful place they were from and the beautiful things they got to have.
