You may all remember how a few weeks ago the MOST AMAZING THING happened, and the United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage, allowing same sex couple to marry in EVERY SINGLE FUCKING STATE BITCHES. yay~ 

BUT NOW THERES A SMALL PROBLEM, that’s not so small. In Texas, there is no state law that protects same sex couples, married or not, against all types of discrimination. BUT YOU BET YOUR CUTE ASS WERE ABOUT TO CHANGE THAT. Starting at the city level first. Here’s were you can help my friend, help the LGBTA Community of El Paso, Texas. 

Yes, i know most of you guys aren’t from here, but if you reside with in the United States, you can help us and sign this petition~! its super quick, just your name and email, feel free to leave a comment if you’d like. BUT YOU WOULD BE MAKING A HUGE DIFFERENCE FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE IN AN OTHERWISE CONSERVATIVE STATE. Come on guys, I know you all love it when we can come together as an online community and MAKE CHANGES IN THE REAL WORLD.

Heres information and background on it. 

This petition strives to encourage the passage of anti-discrimination protection ordinances for the LGBT community in the city of El Paso, Texas, for the following areas: Employment (prevent harassment or job termination); Housing (prevent house denial and eviction); Loans (prevent loan denial). There are no consistent state laws in Texas protecting the LGBT community from discrimination in the previously mentioned areas. Thus far, only a few cities have taken steps to incorporate such protections for the LGBT community, including Forth Worth and Houston. El Paso should be next. The petition will be presented in conjunction with a proposal to the El Paso City council within the next few weeks.

My friend is trying really, really hard, and I couldn’t be prouder of him for taking matters into his own hands and inciting this.
