Last night we reunited with our friends Brittany and Rob and ventured out to Harajuku to a Carolina barbecue restaurant they read about. We were so curious and excited to try Carolina barbecue in Tokyo! 

We all got pulled pork as well as some onion rings, mac and cheese, corn bread, and slaw…a traditional southern meal haha! To our delight, the food was delicious and totally authentic! We’re pretty sure the chef was American, because it really did taste just like home! 

Afterwards, we went to an izakaya (pub) in Wren and I’s neighborhood and enjoyed a couple rounds of nama biiru (draught beer).
