Last week I was sent this image by @imagesnmyeye of my Mom wearing one of my first reconstruction headpieces back in the early 90’s. I had to be between the age of 17-19. This image struck my inner emotions with such gratitude of how God has sustained me from then until this present moment. Knowing where I was mentally & emotionally, camouflaging with impeccable outer appearance or hiding behind my laugh/smile this image has allowed me to look back and visualized how the pieces has formed into the picture of a life with purpose. Creating has pretty much always been easy but dissecting & compartmentalizing was the challenge. Every mentor, client, etc served in an exchange for this presence that I now stand in. I love the woman in this image with every fiber of my being, even without the details she made sure that I was covered & I love God because He knew the details and made sure that I was covered.
