It’s finally TIME!! Today I’m so excited to reveal my master bedroom makeover to you guys!! We reunited the dream team at Z Gallerie to create the master bedroom that I’ve always envisioned! I can’t believe it’s almost been 6 months since we moved into our new home. When G and I first moved into the house, we had no idea what a process it would be to furnish it. We knew it was going to be a lot of work, and between juggling the baby and work, it’s become a constant work and progress. Although it’s been one of the hardest projects we’ve ever done, it’s been equally rewarding to see how everything has come together and we’re so happy we get to share this with all of you. Ever since we moved in, our main priority was to furnish our master bedroom. Some of you may remember that G and I actually spent the first few months living out of our guest room downstairs while we decided exactly what we wanted to do for our master bedroom. When Z Gallerie approached us for a second project, I couldn’t be happier to reunite the dream team and get things going!

I’ve always thought of my bedroom as my little private oasis. There’s nothing I love more than stepping into my bedroom after a long, stressful day and being able to unwind, rest and recharge. As much as I loved our last bedroom in our old apartment, this house opened a huge new chapter for us and I envisioned a space that is more grown up, sophisticated and elegant that can grow with us throughout the years. Something that could merge both our styles. I really wanted to keep the color palette light and airy for this room with lots of whites, creams and taupes that feel clean, sleek and cozy. There is so much beautiful natural light that comes through this room, so I wanted this to be highlighted in the best way possible! My favorite part of our bedroom is our dreamy king bed!! Seriously where has this bed been all my life?! I love how Lucie added the luxe and cozy accents like the Geneva Blanket layered with the euro shams and faux fur pillows to make it feel even more dreamy and luscious. I think adding textures is really important when working with a monochromatic color palette because it adds depth to the space. Taking one look at this bed after a long day just makes me want to go to bed earlier ha!

I personally love the look of mirrored accents in my bedroom because they open up the space so well! These Omni 3-Drawer Chest’s are really unique because they are outlined in a silver leaf and silver beaded trim along with brushed silver hardware and accents on the drawers. I love how Lucie accessorized the nightstands with a few simple, yet luxe pieces like the acrylic white lamps and pretty silver frames with some of my favorite photos with G and Alessandra. The framed prints on the wall of each nightstand serves as the perfect backdrop for this area and ties together all the decor.

Another thing I’ve always had in mind for my master bedroom is a lounge area. I never had a bedroom large enough to fit a separate sitting area that would feel comfortable until we moved into this house. Since I spend most of my days working from home, I love the idea of having a space in my bedroom where I can take my laptop to do some last-minute work before bed or catch up on some reading. This way, my bed is a place for sleeping and this seating area becomes the place for everything else. And can we talk about these chairs?! These Crestmont Chairs are everything you want in a lounge chair; comfortable, plush and spacious! I love how Lucie accessorized this sitting area with the faux fur pillows for some added warmth and the mirrored pedestal table adds some edge to this space. And of course the room couldn’t be complete without some natural elements..you guys know how much I love my plants! This boot vase is actually an umbrella stand which Lucie used as a plant vase for some agave plants, I like that it adds a playful touch to this corner! All these elements tied together give my bedroom an intimate and cozy atmosphere that is the perfect balance between resting and spending time.

Love these natural fiber abstract art pieces! They’re simple, modern and neutral which makes them the perfect addition to the bedroom. The texture in these pieces also ties in perfectly with the textures on the bedding!
