One of my favorite things about fall and winter is CASHMERE! I love how luxe and cozy it feels against my skin, I love how you can dress it up with a leather skirt or down with denim… I love throwing on a big oversized cashmere sweater at home with nothing else at all, cuddling up on the couch and watching my favorite movies. Cashmere, to me, represents a life of comfort, class, and understated luxury…
For years now I’ve been working with 360 Cashmere. They’ve become one of my absolute favorite brands and kind of an extended family to me. I love what they represent, I love their product, and because it’s a family run business, everything is done with heart and extreme attention to detail. A few months ago, they told me about a new line they were launching called Naked Cashmere…the highest quality staple cashmere pieces, but for a fraction of what they normally cost, and if that wasn’t already impressive enough, they got Kate Moss to be the face of the brand! Peter Lindbergh shot the official campaign with Moss in the South of France and the imagery perfectly captures the relaxed luxury that they wanted everyone to be able to experience.
I was incredibly flattered when the brand approached me to lead the launch of the social media campaign to help raise awareness around NAKED. I’ve been looking for ways to expand beyond blogging, have creative directed campaigns for a few other brands in the past, and have discovered it really is a passion of mine. I love helping create a look, a feel, a culture for a line, helping the consumer to imagine how each product will feel and will make them feel when wearing it. I love the art direction and styling aspects, working alongside the photographer and model/talent to create an energy in each photo that evokes the essence of the design. In this case, each Naked sweater was crafted for comfort and intimacy. So I called a few of my close girlfriends to help pioneer this campaign, we head to the beach, got cozy in our cashmere, cuddled up and shot some photos! We had the most fun and relaxed shoot day ever, and I think that really shines through!
