New Kawaii Concept Cafe Opens in Harajuku, Tokyo

Today is the grand opening of the new CANDYE SYRUP CAFE in Harajuku, a concept cafe that features kawaii artwork and interior design by several popular Japanese artists/illustrators including Bisuko Ezaki and Momoka Chia. Working at the cafe will be a rotating cast of Harajuku street style personalities, Japanese social media icons, idols, artists, etc.

We lost the Kawaii Monster Cafe during the COVID-19 lockdowns. With Tokyo’s lockdown finally ending, this cafe could become the new kawaii landmark in Harajuku. The cafe is located at the corner of Takeshita Street and Meiji Dori. Official Twitter
