Rose Hartman broke ground as one of the first female photographers on the New York party circuit, and now she's the subject of a new documentary, The Incomparable Rose Hartman. We caught up with the Studio 54 staple before her film's #SXSW debut to get the real story behind some of her most iconic images. Today's Pick: Diane von Furstenberg and Barry Diller at a party for Interview Magazine in 1978. ___ “I would guess that she definitely had a few glasses of champagne before I came along. She’s not staring at me, she’s absolutely engaged. I would wear black clothes. I’d dress in a classic way but very discreet because I never wanted anyone to be paying attention to me. She was free-spirited and absolutely beautiful. Again, at that point she wasn’t really world famous. We’re talking about ’77 or ’78.
