Found more and more to like about Harajuku
each visit.
I’m glad I gave it the extra passes
because like so many spaces
full of artists and weirdos
it’s long since been co-opted.
But if you amble around long enough
you can still find those
sacred havens of the weird.
And even
adorable scenes
like children marching
in a Halloween parade
side by side
with the Harajuku characters
for whom such fanfare
is commonplace.
