Fashion is often described as a sum of beautiful things, and it is usually considered depthless, volatile, about as fragile as a vanishing dream. But behind the all-too-familiar concept lies an entire universe that’s permanently shifting, a universe made out of extraordinary people with extraordinary visions, visions that sometimes take a name and a shape in striving to inspire us all.

Optimistic, uplifting, and rich, Stella Jean’s spring 2015 collection photographed by Thom Kerr for The Hand of Fashion‘s first issue, couldn’t have served as a better match for a digital publication that is ” designed to highlight ethical fashion initiatives going on around the globe, and designers who are contributing more to communities and incorporating sustainable practices into their businesses”.
