Guerlain's Parure De Nuit Pressed Powder & Blush (£41) is one of the most beautiful compacts I've seen in a while (and I see quite a lot!). It's a skin-enhancer, the silky powder as light as a feather, with a satin sheen. It has four shades through it – pale pink, white, deep pink and blue/green. Use a sweep of all shades all over the face to even out and illuminate the complexion. Or to highlight and sculpt the face, sweep over the three feathers in a diagonal and apply to the cheekbones for a sophisticated blusher effect.
