Today I am going to be sharing with you my new skin care routine. Since I am now in my 30’s, I have altered my skin care routine so it will help battle the aging process. As we age our skin requires different needs and I have found a good regiment that works well for my sensitive skin. These are all products that I swear by and since I am prone to acne, they are all great for all skin types.
So let’s get going on my nightly skin care routine! :-)
Green Tea Makeup Remover Cleaning Tissues by Beauty Treats
These makeup remover wipes are great for removing a days worth of makeup. I use these at night before I go to bed to take off any makeup I have worn that day. They remove all traces of dirt, oil, mascara, and even glitter. They are made with herbal extracts, cornflower and vitamin E, so they leave your skin feeling clean and soft. They are available in 6 scents and retail for $5.99 for 30 pre-moistened wipes.

Clarisonic MIA
I love the clarisonic brush! This brush is great for me, because at times I wear a lot of makeup and it gets deep into my pores to clean my skin thoroughly. I use the sensitive head, so it isn’t too abrasive or harsh on my skin. After cleansing, this leaves your skin soft and gives you a radiant and healthy glow. Although expensive, the clarisonic brush is well worth the investment!
Price: $150.00 (You can find these cheaper on Amazon and eBay, just make sure what your are getting is authentic and NOT used!)

Dermaquest Delicate Skin Cleanser
I’m not too picky about the facial cleanser I use, but I’m really liking the Dermaquest delicate skin cleanser! This cleanser contains Argon Oil which helps to promote healing. This cleanser is formulated with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that reduce redness, while calming and soothing your skin. This product is great for those of you with sensitive skin, as it is super gentle.
Price: $37.00 (A little less expensive on Amazon and eBay)

Retinol Cream
Retinol is a cream that eliminates dead skin cells, so your skin can produce more collagen. Basically, retinol encourages skin cell turnover as it helps reduce pore size and creates a healthy glow. I get my retinol cream from my dermatologist. I am now at a 0.1%, however when you first begin using retinol the percentage will be lower. I swear by this step! I apply a retinol cream once a day before bed. It is extremely important to see a dermatologist to get you on a program using the correct percentage of retinol., because you don’t want to do more damage to your skin.

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum
Serums are a great step in any skin routine, because they soak deep into the skin where other moisturizers are unable to reach. I typically purchase the 1 ounce bottle because it lasts longer and is a far better value. The Ole Henriksen Truth Serum has a fresh orange scent that feels so refreshing and calming on your face. The vitamin C in this serum is great for producing collagen and antioxidants in your skin. Simply place one pump of the serum in your hands and rub together, then pat over your face. This method allows the serum to penetrate your skin fully. It is recommended that you do this step BEFORE applying your moisturizer.

NIA 24 Skin Strengthening Moisturizer
The NIA 24 Skin Strengthening Moisturizer has Niacin in it, which helps with anti aging, rejuvenating the skin, and acne. This product doesn’t break me out and hydrates my skin without leaving an oily residue. It only takes a small amount of product to cover your face. I have been this moisturizer it for a couple of years now and it is by far the best I have ever used!
Price – $93.00 (Prices are better on Amazon and eBay)
Where to Buy: Amazon, eBay, Nia
Murad Renewing Eye Cream
The Murad Renewing Eye Cream is one product I don’t use on a regular basis. As we age we tend to lose some of the moisture in our skin, including the under eye area. The Murad Renewing Eye Cream works great in combatting the appearance of bags and fine lines. This product brightens and stimulates the sensitive skin around the eye, and feels as though you are applying silk.
Price: $75.00 (Prices are better on Amazon and eBay)
Where to Buy: Amazon, eBay, Sephora
So that’s it for my anti-aging skin care routine! The most important step to remember is the retinol. You need to be using this cream nightly, however make sure to see your dermatologist before use. Note: Some of the retinal you can purchase over the counter is diluted and won’t work as well as what your doctor can prescribe. I hope this helps and gives you some ideas on what to include in your skin care routine.
As always, I hope you all are staying happy and healthy! :-)
XOXO,
Marlena
